Challenge:

Our strategic partner had a client that was harmonizing 7 entities under a new parent company. The client and partner were looking for support educating the employees on the changes to the benefit plans. The client wanted to make sure employees had access to proper education if they had questions about the plan designs, rates, and personal questions. 

Solutions:

Our strategic partner, together with Core Enrollment Solutions, introduced several strategies to make sure the enrollment was a success:

  • We put together pre-enrollment communication (supplement current communications) to include: Open Enrollment Announcement Flyer
  • Trained benefit counselors on the core benefit offering  for the new group as well as the benefit plans for the previous 7 companies, to allow employees access to ask any questions they may have 
  • Set up an online scheduler for employees to select a time and ask questions with a benefit counselor during open enrollment. 
  • Provided an in-bound call center number for employees to ask questions
  • We continue to assist with new hire education and enrollment support

Results:

  • Over 350 employees utilized the call center during open enrollment 
  • Voluntary enrollment generated $121,000 in new revenue for broker partner
  • Significantly reduced the number of benefit related “change” questions fielded by the HR team
