Challenge:
Our strategic partner had a client that was looking for open enrollment support (communication, education, and enrollment). The client needed the solution to fit with their current full-time system (ADP Workforce Now). The client was adding new benefits during the open enrollment period and wanted to make sure employees had access to proper education if they had questions. The HR team had a challenge of getting employees to complete enrollment in a timely manner in ADP in previous years.
Solutions:
Our strategic partner, together with Core Enrollment Solutions, introduced several strategies to make sure the enrollment was a success:
- We put together pre-enrollment communication (supplement current communications) to include: Open Enrollment Announcement Flyer, Manager Memo, Text-to-learn
- Trained benefit counselors on the core benefit offering to allow employees access to ask any questions they may have
- Set up an online scheduler for employees to select a time and ask questions with a benefit counselor during open enrollment.
- Gained “Partner Access” with ADP to allow our benefit counselors to complete enrollment for employees that wanted assistance enrolling in the ADP system
- We continue to assist with new hire education and enrollment support
Results:
- 92% of employees completed their benefit elections prior to enrollment period ending
- Voluntary enrollment generated $26,250 in new revenue for broker partner
- Completed open enrollment in two weeks with no extension needed
- Client asked us to continue supporting new hires throughout the year and partner for OE in 2nd year
